Transportation in Egypt
The national carrier is Egypt Air, and travels toEgypt from most major airports worldwide. All the major carriers also fly to Egypt, primarily to Cairo Airport where you would have to take a connecting flight to an internal destination; however, many now fly directly to Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan.
The Egyptian Railway system connects to most major destinations in Egypt, and is enormously cheaper than traveling internally by air. Buses are also readily available to all destinations within Egypt, and range in prices depending on the operating company.
Taxis are Easily found and reasonably inexpensive. It varies from a Governorate to another in both Colors & fees. Major car rental companies are also available.
